FAQ

What is Circle K?

Circle K is the world's largest collegiate service organization, and GT Circle K is the Georgia Tech branch. Circle K is focused on three basic tenants: service, leadership, and fellowship. We aim to serve the Atlanta community and beyond by volunteering and fundraising for good causes.

What are the benefits of joining Circle K?

Joining Circle K is a great way to get involved and make a positive impact in the community. We also offer leadership opportunities on the club, district, and international level, and members can win Kiwanis-sponsored scholarships and make connections that will help them in their professional lives and beyond.

What sort of volunteer efforts is GT Circle K involved in?

We do a variety of service projects around the city, including working with the Bellwood Boys and Girls Club, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Medshare International and many more. We also plan fundraisers to support national and international charities, including the UNICEF Six Cents Initiative and Relay for Life. To see a full list of our projects, as well as descriptions, check out our Projects page.

How can I join?

Membership dues for the club are $20. These dues cover a full year of membership to Circle K International. You can pay these dues to our club treasurer during any project or meeting. Members will receive a club T-shirt, a CKI membership pin, and the CKI insurance policy. In addition, members are able to vote in elections, run for office, and attend conventions.

What if I cannot participate in all of the projects?

None of our projects or meetings are mandatory. We don't keep track of individual hours, so you can come to the events that fit your schedule.

Is Circle K related to Key Club?

Yes, Circle K and Key Club are part of the Kiwanis family, an umbrella group of organizations which also includes Builders Club (for middle-school students) and Kiwanis International (for adults). In essence, Circle K is the college version of Key Club.

Is Circle K affiliated with a religion?

No, Circle K is open to everyone, regardless of religious beliefs.
